F.U.M.C. Dallas Sunday school curriculum is a comprehensive program covering the Bible, doctrine and history over a 7 year cycle from 6th – 12th grade. Written by Rev. Walt Marcum, a United Methodist minister, each session combines Biblical principles with experiential learning.

All teachers go through training in our youth and child protection program as well as teaching techniques and make a 1 year commitment to the class.

6th grade – Confirmation – Room 301
Confirmation is an intensive 9 month experience in which 6th graders learn about the history of Christianity, basic faith beliefs, other religions as well as the United Methodist history and heritage. Sunday morning classes are taught by ordained ministers and staff of the church, as well as by lay persons specific to the weekly topic. Throughout the year, faith partners, who are adult members of the church, spend time in fellowship with their youth, and share their faith story. Once a month field trips and retreats provide outside experience to help enrich classroom learning. At the end of the year, the youth are provided the opportunity to join the United Methodist Church. See acolyte schedule.
